Check-in time is at 12:00 PM, and check-out time is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged upon request, subject to availability.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the camp, including in all guest areas and tents.

Wheelchair Accessibility
Certain areas of the camp are accessible with assistance. Soroi Larsens Camp has a fully equipped wheelchair accessible tent with handicapable aspects. Please inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Children’s Policy
Children of all ages are welcome at Soroi Larsens Camp. We offer family-friendly accommodations and a range of activities suitable for younger guests.

Types of Tents
Soroi Larsens Camp offers 12 River-Facing Luxury Tents, 2 River-Facing Deluxe Tented Suites, and 2 Two-Bedroom Family Units.

Family-Friendly Options
Our two-bedroom family units can accommodate up to 4 guests, providing ample space and comfort for families. Each family unit has a King en-suite and a Twin en-suite room.

Private Bathrooms
All tents feature en-suite bathrooms with indoor showers, bespoke organic soaps, and care products.

Room Amenities
Each tent includes a king-size bed, extended verandas with outside seating, a day bed and filtered water.

Air Conditioning and Heating
While we do not have air conditioning, our tents are designed for natural ventilation and have fans to keep you cool.

Dining Options
We offer full-board dining with all meals included. Guests can enjoy plated service in our dining area; private dining is available upon request.

Special Dietary Requirements
We cater to various dietary needs.  Please inform us of any dietary requirements in advance.

Bar Services
Our bar offers a selection of local branded beverages, including soft drinks, local beers, selected spirits, and house wines.

We recommend consulting your healthcare provider regarding vaccinations and other health precautions before traveling to Kenya.

First aid kits are available, and our staff is trained in basic first aid. Transport to the nearest medical facility can be arranged for serious medical emergencies.

Wildlife Interaction Safety Measures
Our guides are trained to ensure safe interactions with wildlife. Always follow their instructions and maintain a safe distance from animals.

Directions to the Lodge
Soroi Larsens Camp is located in the Samburu Reserve. Detailed directions will be provided upon booking.

Airport Transfer Services
Transfers from the Kalama airstrip are included when booking a Ground Package Option. We also offer transfers from Nairobi, which take approximately 5-6 hours by road.

Nearest Airport Information
The nearest major airport is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. From there, guests can transfer to Wilson Airport and take a domestic flight to the Kalama Airstrip.

Parking Availability
Parking is available for guests who choose to drive to the camp.

Suggested Packing List
We recommend packing comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, a camera extra batteries and memory cards

Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit the Samburu Reserve is during the dry season, from June to October and January to March. However, the reserve offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round.

For your convenience, we operate cashless. We accept Mastercard and Visa. Unfortunately, American Express is not accepted.

Facilities for Photographers
Soroi Larsens Camp has a professional photographic hide for wildlife photography enthusiasts.

Recommended Tipping for Guides
Tipping your safari guide at the end of your stay is customary. A typical tip ranges from $10 to $20 per person per day.

Tipping for Camp Staff
Tipping the camp staff is also appreciated. We recommend leaving a tip of $5 to $10 per person per day, which can be placed in the communal tip box at reception.
